In the state of Oklahoma, where the dirt is always red you will find our small breeding program of Pekingese, French Bulldogs, and Great Danes.

If you talk to any good breeder they will tell you to be ware of anyone who breeds several breeds of dogs.  This can be true, however, this is NOT the case with us.  Let me first start out by saying that our breeding program is a family program.  We live on 10 acres and my husband, 4 kids, and myself all have a hand in the program.  We spend lots of time finding out the ins and outs of good breeding with each breed that we breed and give each one of them lots of time and love.  Because our kids are so involved in the breeding program they have their own specialty breed that they breed although it is all done under one name.....Red Dirt.

What started out as a love for dogs grew into a small breeding program.  How did this come about you might ask?  Well, it happened in 4 steps.

Step 1) I fell in love with my favorite little dog, the Pekingese.

As I began to research the breed that I had so quickly fallen in love with I found that what we now think of as the standard pekingese is in fact a much larger version of the breed as it began.  In the early years the pekingese were carried around in the sleeves of the robes of their owners and were much smaller.  My quest to find out why and how these little ones evolved to what they are today led me to discover what is now called a "sleeve pekingese".  These little ones are much smaller in size than the standard pekingese that is so well known now.  These little ones are where I decided to specialize.  Fully grown the sleeves weigh less than 7lbs and this means that they are much smaller and more fragile during their early puppy years.

Step 2)  As my health has made it harder and harder for me to keep these hairy little pekingese groomed well my middle daughter's love for the breed has grown.  She has now taken over the Pekingese breeding with 2 females and one beautiful male.

Step 3) As I began looking for that perfect breed for me with less hair to keep groomed but with a sweet, loving disposition I tried my hand at animal transportation where I came in contact with MANY different breeds of dogs.  Now I must interject here that while I have always been a big dog lover I have not been a LARGE dog lover.  I prefered the small lap dogs to one that is large enough to push me over if they so desire.  Soo, it came as quite a surprise to me when, through transporting them, allowing them to sleep in the bed with me, ride in the front seat with me, and even getting locked out of a motel by one I fell in love with one of the Giant Breeds...The Great Dane.  My son, being a male, thought that the small dogs were for sissy's (although I certainly found him loving on them a lot).  However, the Great Danes he was all for because he could romp and play with them.  We added the Great Danes to our breeding program for my son (and myself,  but sshhh, that part is a secret.)

Step 4) Because my youngest daughter could not be left out and had such a LOVE for the small cobby bodied French Bulldogs I agreed to allow her to add a breed of her own to the program.  Our Frenchies are Ericka's pick breed and the newest addition to our breeding program.

Now we specialize in the tiniest pekingese, the coby bodied French Bulldogs, and AKC CH bloodlined Great Danes.

We have found that the pekingese and great danes that we breed, although very different in size, are actually very much alike in temperment and personality.  The Frenchies are a bit more active, but then so is Ericka.  LOL  All 3 breeds are  very loving, are primarily house dogs, and believe that wherever their people are is where they should be.

Now that you know how we started and how much we love our dogs we invite you to take a look around and let us help you to find that perfect pet.
